When we misunderstand or forget what the foundation of family is, we misuse and mistreat it. This weakens the family and restricts the advance of the Gospel within the family. However, when we understand and pursue family according to its design it gets stronger day by day. This is when passionate faith gets passed to the next generation and life is abundant.
The individual family and the family of God – the Church – are the foundation of society and the dwelling place of God on earth, and the preservation of faith from one generation to the next. Satan knows this and therefore attacks the family as his primary target. Confused and weakened understanding of family and its significance corrupts society and undermines the advance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But we are not those who fall back in fear. We step forward with humble confidence because we know that we have been given everything we need for life and godliness.
Learn to sit together in the presence of God, seek the person of God rather than the things of God, and experience the Gospel of Jesus Christ soak into family life.
